Layla Davey
Director of Operations
I'm a collection of paradoxes. I'm a tomboy in a skirt. I enjoy the feel of mud between my toes, but enjoy having manicured feet. I'm at home in jeans and a t-shirt, but I love to slip on heels and a fancy dress for a special evening out. There's nothing like a crack of thunder that shakes you to your very core. Camping is a favorite pastime, but I'll never pass up a night at the Waldorf! I like simple clothing but my skirts are best when they twirl. Every kind of music makes me want to dance, from classical to bluegrass, hip-hop to ska, I love it all. There's nothing like a great book on a rainy day, but movie marathons are fun too! I enjoy being at home, but will never give up the opportunity to travel. People are my favorite pastime, but I enjoy quality alone time. I love Jesus, and there's no greater adventure than pursuing him. Some days I get it right, but most days I wear my passions like an ill fitted suit. Simply put, I'm a ragamuffin.
In the past 15 years I've lived a little bit of everywhere from South East Asia to the Eastern Seaboard of the US. My career in news and TV production along with my education was the source of my roaming. I relocated to Central Oregon two years ago from Memphis, TN to be near family. Living in the Central Oregon is a gift. I've never lived in a place of such great beauty and recreation (not to mention the people are incredible!). I attend a local church, and I am blessed with the opportunity to lead a weekly fellowship in my home. Romans 12 is where I've been living lately; His transformational power in our lives is astounding!
Working as the Director of Operations is a great delight for me. We are fortunate to have a God-designed team. I'm constantly blown away by the talents and vision built into this ministry. It is my joy to serve and I look forward to the journey ahead.
